The weather in CA was GREAT!!! We didn’t really have plans – just things we wanted to do; like visit China town, Tokyo town, Little Saigon (isn’t so little), go hiking, visit Joe’s aunt and college friend, etc.

Joshua Tree National Park – spent an entire day driving around the park. Toward the end of the day, we realize it’s too late to go “hiking hiking”, so we did do a mini (less than 1 mile) hike.

Photos coming soon!

Hello from sunny New Caledonia – the weather here is perfect (short and tee shirt/tank top). Joe and I just got back from a half day of jet ski tour of some bays and small islands. I’m a bit burnt on my knee/leg and arms. Ops - must have missed a few spots. Lunch at Le Zanzibar (French restaurant) was GREAT especially the desert (3 flavor sorbet – YUMMY).

Today is our last day (killing time and trying to use up all of our internet minutes) - tomorrow we're off to Tokyo where we will have to put on our sweater and coat. We’re looking forward to getting lost in Tokyo, eating lots of YUMMY sushi, Onsen or bathhouse, etc.

Here are a few sunrise photos - enjoy!!!

Location: Portland, Oregon
Travel Dates: Friday, Nov 9, 2007 - Tuesday, Nov 13, 2007
Airline: Delta
Hotel:
Hotel Deluxe

Portland
, Oregon
was great!!! Before leaving – the forecast called for RAIN (boo) - I’m so glad that it didn’t rain Saturday or Sunday. We did a lot of walking; downtown, Powell’s bookstore (4 floors of books!!), Saturday Market (lots of handmade things), saw Hood Mountain (it's so pretty), mini hiking trip (saw 2 water falls and had to get coffee at their mini stand), visit an organic farm, wine tasting and visit Wal-Mart in Washington state. Hotel Deluxe was neat - the rooms we're a bit small. And we got charge for a Reese candy from the "mini bar" in our room; we didn't even eat it!

Oregon and Washington are checked off - states I’ve visited.

Joe got us tickets to see The Underpants - we had front row seats and laugh our butts off. The Underpants; by Carl Sternheim; Adapted by Steve Martin; Directed by Rose Riordan. - "In this side-splitting reinvention of a turn-of-the-century German sex comedy, the incomparable Steve Martin (yes, that Steve Martin) focuses his zany eye on the relationship between a prudish butcher and his delectably voluptuous young wife, Louise. Set in 1910, when a glimpse of stocking was something shocking, two very different men face cardiac arrest when they are witness to the full descent of the luscious Louise's lingerie during an outdoor celebration. Louise becomes something of an instant celebrity and a magnet for romantic intrigue in this hilarious, frothy, naughty comedy."

Monday – it rain and I had cramps, so we took it easy. Visit Powell’s bookstore and saw a movie at a place called Living Room Theater. The seats we’re big and comfy. We saw Broken English (a chick flick) – I enjoyed it; Joe said it was okie. Afterward, we spent the remainder of the time at Starbucks on our laptop before heading to the airport. We can’t live without our laptops!!!!

Now for PICTURES!!!! Enjoy!

Ugh weekend was just too SHORT I tell you. I spent Saturday and half day Sunday looking for the perfect wedding dress. And it's sad to say - I didn't find any I like.

Sunday afternoon - Joe rented an airplane and we flew to Hummel Field Airport. Hummel??? - where the heck is that. Well, it's a little town with lots of old folks! We had dinner at Eckhard's - fish special (huge portions) and salad (pretty good). We left the restaurant at around 7:45/7:50ish and saw the sun set very quickly (bright orange/red and huge.

I need to make invitations and mail out COB Thursday/Friday. Need to work on client stuff - so behind.

Joe and I took a mini road trip up North - New York City. Our main goal was to get an American made suit at Hickey Freeman. The rest of the time was spent wandering around Chinatown. We made a stop at J&R - lots of toys!

Purchase: camera case and a tripod.
